I'm a self-taught painter born and raised in rural Alaska, now based in Denver, Colorado. I specialize in contemporary mountain landscapes with my work capturing Colorado mountains, Alaskan wilderness, national parks, and other landscape features from throughout the American West. I aim to bring the calm, restorative beauty of nature into homes and everyday spaces through a minimalist and personal lens.

 

As a colorblind artist, my unique experience of color draws me to blues and greens, which I can see with more complexity than other colors. This shapes my approach to color blocking and use of restrained palettes, distilling landscapes into fundamental spatial and chromatic relationships.
